PRODUCT OVERVIEW

This module provides a structured methodology designed to assist you consider the issues regarding staff affected by an outsourcing initiative and solutions to help you manage staff through the transition period. This is often a tumulus period in the Outsourcing Lifecycle.

It is critical for the effectiveness of the staff management program that it is planned well in advance of implementation so that an environment of few surprises and disruptions is created.

The key objectives of the staff transition module are to ensure:

  • that both parties are in a position to fulfil their obligations and complete specific transition actions as laid out in the contract and any staff transition-related schedules,
  • a smooth transfer of the staff to the service provider (if applicable) and their integration into the service provider’s organization,
  • a smooth transfer of the staff obligations to the service provider (if applicable) including accrued benefits,
  • rapid operationalization of retained staff new/changed responsibilities,
  • competent departure of redundant staff (if applicable); and
  • minimization of service disruption or poor performance due to staff issues during transition.
